Dr. Malije Onwueme, known by her patients as Dr. Mali!
Dr. Mali received her doctorate in Dental Surgery at University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and her pediatric education from New York University Lutheran Medical Center where she received advanced training in dental trauma, special needs dentistry, sedation and anesthesia. She has received awards for her outreach efforts abroad, and practices by the philosophy of “treating all patients with passion and compassion.”
Preparing for their 1st visit
- Talk to your child about what to expect and encourage them to ask questions (if possible).
- Address any questions or concerns with us prior to the appointment.
- Schedule a morning appointment, preferably not during nap time so they aren’t fatigued.
- Give them a light meal and brush their teeth before their appointment.
- Find our New Patient Forms online and fill them out ahead of time.
- We’ll go at your child’s pace—if their first visit includes a cleaning, great! If they just want to sit in the chair and that’s as far as we get, that’s ok too!
